Yesterday, John’ immediate family arrived – including Mom, Dad, Jennifer, Andrew and the three girls, Amanda, Jessica and Katie. Later in the day, Eric, the Best Man also arrived, meaning that 2/3rds of John’s bridal party are now in Edmonton, and we are awaiting Kevin’s arrival sometime tomorrow afternoon. Kathleen’s eldest brother, Patrick also arrived from Italy late last night.
The first large family gathering happened, with 12 of us enjoying ribs, chicken, beer and wine in the backyard. It’s the first official sign that the wedding is upon us, and we are looking forward to the fun the next week will provide. in the mean time, here are the items that need to be checked off the “to do” list today:
• Pick up tuxes (provided they have arrived in the store)
• drop off stuff at Windermere Golf Course for the reception
• find some suitable prizes for John’s golf tournament tomorrow morning
