Light at the End of the Tunnel

Well, it's been a long week at home here, and I'm lookng forward to the weekend. Not only is John coming home (hurray), but the weather is supposed to turn away from the rain and sleet and snow we've had for the last 24 hours and towards a little bit more sun. We've both been looking so much forward to working in the yard that the bad weather is making us impatient.

And that's to say nothing of the great tragedies going on in the world this week, which are weighing heavily on our minds. It's an awful lot of sadness to try and absorb, and more coming every day.

In the meantime, I'm excited that John is coming home soon, and that we'll be able to resume the final plans for the wedding day. The bridesmaid dresses are coming along beautifully, and it's always exciting to come home every day and see what reply cards are in the mail. We've also made contact with a very nice lady in Ottawa who received an invitation by accident, and helped us to make sure it got to its rightful recipients.

I think that the adjudicating in London has gone very well, but I'll let John write more about it when he gets back.

Have a good (and peaceful) weekend everybody!
