John is back from a three day bachelor party which took place in Jasper over last weekend. It was gorgeous weather to be “camping” (if being in a cabin with running water and a full kitchen could be considered camping – according to John, there was no TV, so I guess that could be considered “roughing it”), highlights of the trip include … well … maybe not things that should be posted on a blog read by family members ;). Here is a nice picture of the four boys who attended the weekend (Kevin, Jeff, Rob and John).Kathleen is gearing up for her bridal shower on Saturday evening, and in a few weeks she will head out of town with the girls for her weekend away.
We both had new engagement photos taken – well ok, the Edmonton Police Photo Radar office took nice pictures of the backs of our cars as we were following each other home one night – not sure if the photos will actually make it into the album, even if the photo shoot did cost us a good amount, we think they are a little blurry.
Wedding planning is at an all time high with all the small details being taken care of. We can now check off the following:
1. Hair and Makeup trial – check!
2. Order of Service and Music selections – check!
3. Party favours – check!
4. Outdoor and indoor (in case of rain) picture venue– check!
5. Our hotel for the night of the wedding – check!
We’ve enjoyed getting phone calls from the Bay and Home Outfitters to come by and pick up some shipments of our gifts. All these things make us realize just how close we are to the actual day now.
John is spending most of the days of the week now working on finishing his first draft of his thesis, it’s getting pretty close, some days are better than others, but the finish line is in sight.
Everyday we get more and more excited for the day to come, and are coming to a point where we are just not sure if we are going to survive waiting a full month until you are all here with us!
