Weather: Sunny and hot and humid, cloudy later, but still hot.
Today was our second full day in Ottawa, and we spent most of the day at the Jackson's. Eric was the best man at our wedding, and John was the same at his. They have recently installed a new backyard pool and so the plan was to spend the day laying beside the pool or in the pool, and enjoying the company of friends. And that's exactly what we did! Their two children, Santina and Luca (Luca is John's Godson) kept us occupied teaching us new words in French, playing I-spy-with-my-little-eye, and showing off their new tricks in the pool. We had a delicious meal and great conversation! And we were glad to get a chance to meet Maggie, six pounds of terrier-chihuahua fierceness!
Now the we are back at Fielding Court enjoying a glass of wine with Mom and Dad, and getting ready to retire early - ready to enjoy more of the same tomorrow as the hot and humid weather is expected to climb into the 40s. There is no better way to enjoy a pool side vacation!

Even if you open the post it is like that, you have to open the actual blog page to see it right.
Now, I KNOW it should read "pool" but I know John and over the past 36 years of my life I have met some, if not all, of his Ottawa friends. That being said, I couldn't help but wonder, if only for a moment, "What crazy s**t (pun slightly intended) have John and his friend, especially Eric, done this time?"
