Day three in Miller Lake!
Mileage: 44 km
Weather: Still beautiful and sunny; we've been so lucky!
Today was a quiet day on the Bruce, for the most part! John and I took a little trip into Ferndale to visit the local artist's co-op. Dad and Leslie were kind enough to give us a gift of our choosing from the co-op, so we chose a beautiful decorative glass plate and bowl. They will be lovely in our living room!
The big excitement of the day was this morning, when a gentleman pulled into the driveway to ask if he could come to a storytelling performance this evening! We had been hoping that Dad and Leslie would have a storytelling supper booking while we were here, so we were happy to see him arrive. The gentleman returned this evening for dinner and the concert and John and I were very happy to mingle with him and get to know him while Dad and Leslie served supper and got ready for their performance! It was a wonderful evening of delicious food, compelling storytelling and many, many laughs!
On the road again tomorrow with an end destination of Ottawa. A stop along the way in Lake of Bays to see Uncle Doug and Aunt Beth!

While we were serenading you with songs about bears, etc. there was a family standing just outside the window on the road beside the mailbox !! Little did we know that Mama Bear and her two cubs were trying to warm us by joining in with Bears bass line. Scott's friend witnessed the event until the family disappeared into the bush to come closer to our house. This all happened shortly after 9 pm just when we were singing Bears Song ..... go figure ....
